Privacy Policy

Effective July 2, 2026

FastDry connects homeowners with independent restoration professionals. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and who we share it with — in plain language, matching how the platform actually works today.

Who we are

FastDry operates the website at fastdry.ai (“FastDry,” “we,” “us”).

Information we collect

From homeowners (intake flow)

When you request help through our intake form, we collect:

  • Name and phone number (required)
  • Property address and city, if you provide them
  • Answers about the damage (flow type, affected area, duration, and related details we use to describe the job)
  • Insurance status (whether you plan to file a claim, already have one, or will pay out of pocket)
  • Photos you upload of the damage, if you choose to add them
  • A record of the consent language you agreed to at submission

The main intake form does not require an email address today. If you join a waitlist or contact us through another form that asks for email, we collect what that form requests.

From restoration vendors

  • Business profile information (company name, service area, contact details, and related directory data)
  • Account email and authentication data when you sign in
  • Phone number used for lead notifications and profile verification
  • Lead activity in your dashboard (claims, credits, disputes)
  • Payment-related records when you purchase lead credits (processed by Stripe — see below)

Automatically collected

Like most websites, we collect basic technical data such as browser type, device information, pages visited, and approximate location derived from IP address. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for this purpose.

How we use your information

  • Match homeowners with qualified restoration vendors in their area
  • Dispatch lead alerts to eligible vendors when a new job is submitted
  • Score job severity and urgency from intake answers (and optional photo analysis)
  • Reveal homeowner contact details to the single vendor who claims a lead
  • Send transactional emails (for example, vendor claim confirmations and dispatch notifications)
  • Send SMS messages to vendors about new leads when SMS is enabled
  • Process vendor credit purchases and maintain account balances
  • Review vendor credit-back disputes
  • Improve the service, prevent abuse, and maintain security

Sharing with vendors — the core of our model

When you submit a homeowner request, we share your contact information with the restoration vendor who claims your lead. That is how the service works: one vendor wins the job, and only that vendor receives your name, phone number, address (if provided), and job details. We do not sell your information to a list of competitors or blast it to multiple companies at once.

Before a vendor claims a lead, vendors see only non-identifying job preview information (for example, damage category, urgency, and general location) — not your name or phone number.

Vendors are independent businesses, not FastDry employees. How a vendor uses your information after you are connected is governed by their own practices, in addition to this policy.

Third-party services

We use trusted providers to run parts of the platform:

  • Anthropic (Claude) — optional photo uploads may be sent for AI-assisted severity assessment. We send the image for analysis; we do not use this to train models on your behalf beyond what Anthropic's API terms describe.
  • Stripe — processes vendor credit-card payments. FastDry does not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Twilio — may send SMS dispatch alerts to vendors who have opted into phone notifications.
  • Resend — sends transactional email (dispatch alerts, claim confirmations, and related notices).
  • Google Analytics — website usage analytics (cookies and similar technologies).
  • Cloud hosting and database providers — store application data securely on our behalf.

These providers process data only as needed to perform their services for us, subject to their own privacy terms.

SMS and phone communications

Homeowners: By submitting the intake form, you consent to be contacted by phone or text by the matched restoration professional about your job. That contact comes from the vendor (or their team), not necessarily from a FastDry phone number.

Vendors: If you provide a mobile number for lead alerts, we or our SMS provider may send automated messages about new leads in your area. Message frequency varies with lead volume. Message and data rates may apply.

To stop SMS messages sent by FastDry through our SMS provider, reply STOP to any such message. For help, reply HELP or email founder@fastdry.ai. We may also send non-marketing service emails to account holders; unsubscribe links are included where applicable.

Payment information

Homeowners are not charged by FastDry for using the matching service. Vendors purchase lead credits through Stripe Checkout. Card details are handled by Stripe; we receive confirmation of payment and maintain credit balance records, not your full card number.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to operate the service, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations. When data is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete or de-identify it where reasonably practicable.

We do not yet publish a fixed retention schedule for every data type. If you have a specific deletion request, contact us and we will handle it consistent with applicable law and operational needs.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality and analytics (including GA4). You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some site features.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA.

To exercise these rights or ask questions about your data, email founder@fastdry.ai. We will verify your request where appropriate before responding.

FastDry is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices evolve. When we make material changes, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date above. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
